  • GIVORAA Security Deposit and Payment ID Explained (For Clients and Freelancers)

GIVORAA Security Deposit and Payment ID Explained (For Clients and Freelancers)

The GIVORAA security deposit protects clients who pay a freelancer directly, outside a normal order. The freelancer keeps a deposit with GIVORAA, and the client can ask GIVORAA to block part of it as a guarantee until the work is delivered.

    Key terms in one minute

    Payment ID

A unique ID for each freelancer, like GVP-7K4M2Q. Clients use it to look up the freelancer.

    Security deposit

Money the freelancer adds to their GIVORAA deposit to show they are trustworthy.

    Block

A part of the deposit held for one client and one service until it is released.

For clients: how to protect a direct payment

    1. Ask the freelancer for their Payment ID.
    2. Open Verify a freelancer and enter the ID. You will see the name, verified tick and the deposit available to block.
    3. Fill in your name, email, the service you agreed and the amount, then send the block request.
    4. Wait until the request shows Blocked. Only then pay the freelancer.
    5. When the work is done, click Release. If something goes wrong, click Report a problem and the GIVORAA team reviews both sides.

You receive a private tracking link by email, and if you are signed in, every request appears under My Account → Protected payments.

For freelancers: why add a deposit?

    • Clients can verify you before paying – this wins bigger direct projects.
    • Every completed protected deal adds a badge clients can see.
    • You stay in control: you accept or decline each block request.

Manage your deposit, Payment ID and requests on the Security Deposit dashboard. Top-ups can be paid by UPI or crypto, and you can withdraw your available balance.

    What happens in a dispute?

If a client reports a problem, the blocked amount stays held. The GIVORAA team reviews the agreed service, messages and delivery from both sides. If the claim is upheld, the blocked amount is paid to the client from the freelancer’s deposit; otherwise it is released back to the freelancer. See Trust and Safety.

    Important to know

    • GIVORAA does not receive or handle the money you pay directly to the freelancer – the protection comes from the freelancer’s deposit.
    • You can only block up to the freelancer’s available deposit.
    • Blocks that are not answered expire automatically.
Paying a freelancer directly?Check their Payment ID first – it takes 2 minutes.

    Verify a freelancer

    FAQ

Is the security deposit the same as a GIVORAA order?

No. Orders placed on GIVORAA are covered by the refund policy. The security deposit protects payments you make directly to a freelancer.

Can I block more than the deposit?

No. The maximum is the freelancer’s available deposit shown on the verify page.

Where can I see my requests?

In the email tracking link, or under My Account → Protected payments when signed in.

  • How to Stay Safe When Paying Freelancers Online

How to Stay Safe When Paying Freelancers Online

Most freelancers are honest professionals, but online payments still need care. Follow these simple rules and you will be protected every time you hire – whether you pay through GIVORAA or directly.

    The 7 golden rules

    1. Pay through the platform. Orders on GIVORAA are covered by the 15-day refund policy.
    2. Check the verified tick. Verified freelancers on Find Freelancers have been reviewed by our team.
    3. Agree everything in writing. Scope, price, deadline and revisions – keep it in GIVORAA chat.
    4. Never share passwords or OTPs in chat. Create temporary access and change passwords after the project.
    5. Avoid “too good to be true” offers. A full e-commerce website for $10 is a warning sign.
    6. Pay in stages for big projects. Use milestones instead of paying 100% up front.
    7. Report problems early. Contact support as soon as something feels wrong.

Paying a freelancer directly? Use a security deposit block

Sometimes you agree to pay a freelancer directly. GIVORAA still protects you with the security deposit system:

    1. Ask for their Payment ID – it looks like GVP-XXXXXX.

    2. Check it on the Verify a freelancer page – you will see their name, verified status and available deposit.

    3. Request a block for the amount you agreed and describe the service.

    4. Pay only after it shows “Blocked”. The amount is held from the freelancer’s deposit.

    5. Release or report. When the work is done, release the block. If something goes wrong, report a problem and the GIVORAA team reviews both sides.

You can follow every request under My Account → Protected payments.

    Warning signs of a scam

    • Asking you to move to another app before any work is agreed.
    • Pressure to pay immediately “because the offer ends today”.
    • A Payment ID that cannot be verified on GIVORAA.
    • Requests for your card details, bank login or OTP.
Paying someone directly?Check their Payment ID and protect the payment in 2 minutes.

    Verify a freelancer

    FAQ

Is it safe to pay with crypto?

Yes, when you pay a GIVORAA order. Send exactly the amount shown at checkout and submit your transaction hash so our team can confirm it. See payments.

What does GIVORAA do in a dispute?

Our team reviews messages, files and the agreed scope from both sides and decides fairly. Read Trust and Safety.

  • How to Write a Project Brief Freelancers Love (Free Template)

How to Write a Project Brief Freelancers Love (Free Template)

The number one reason freelance projects go wrong is an unclear brief. The good news: writing a great brief takes about ten minutes. Copy the template below, fill it in, and paste it into your job post or your order.

    Why a good brief matters

    • Accurate prices – freelancers can quote exactly instead of guessing high.
    • Faster delivery – fewer questions, fewer revisions.
    • Better proposals – the best freelancers prefer clear projects.

    The 7-part brief template

    1. About you: one or two lines about your business or project.

    2. Goal: what should this work achieve? (e.g. “get more enquiries from my website”).

    3. Deliverables: the exact files or results you need (e.g. “logo in PNG, SVG and PDF; 3 colour versions”).

    4. Audience: who will see or use it? Age, country, language.

    5. Style and examples: 2–3 links you like and 1 you don’t – and why.

    6. Budget and deadline: your range and the date you need it.

    7. Materials: logos, text, logins or files you will provide.

    Example: a logo brief

“I run a small organic bakery in Lisbon. I need a modern, friendly logo for my shop sign, packaging and Instagram. Deliverables: logo in PNG, SVG and PDF, plus a black-and-white version. Audience: young families. Style: hand-drawn, warm colours – I like [link], not too corporate. Budget: $50–$100. Deadline: 7 days. I will send my shop name and photos.”

With a brief like this, a designer can choose the right logo design package immediately.

    Common mistakes to avoid

    • “Make it look professional” – describe what professional means to you.
    • No deadline – freelancers plan their week around it.
    • Changing the scope mid-project – agree changes and any extra cost first in chat.
    • Sharing passwords in public – share access privately and change passwords after the project.

    FAQ

How long should a brief be?

Between 5 and 15 lines is perfect for most projects. Big projects can add a short document.

Can I write the brief in my own language?

Yes. Many GIVORAA freelancers work in several languages. You can also hire a translator for multilingual projects.

  • How to Hire a Freelancer Online: The Complete 2026 Guide

How to Hire a Freelancer Online: The Complete 2026 Guide

Hiring a freelancer is the fastest way to get expert work done without the cost of a full-time hire. Whether you need a logo, a website, a video or an AI chatbot, this guide explains – in plain language – how to find the right person, agree a fair price and pay safely.

    1. Define exactly what you need

Good results start with a clear brief. Before you contact anyone, write down:

    • The goal – what problem should the work solve? (for example “more sales from my online shop”).
    • The deliverables – files, pages, videos or reports you expect to receive.
    • Examples you like – links or screenshots save hours of back-and-forth.
    • Your deadline – and whether it is fixed or flexible.

A five-line brief is enough. The clearer it is, the more accurate the price and timeline you will get.

    2. Set a realistic budget

Freelance prices depend on complexity, experience and delivery time. On GIVORAA every service shows three transparent packages – Basic, Standard and Premium – so you can compare before you decide. For example, logo design starts from $25, while a full website build starts higher because it takes more time.

Tip: if your project is unusual, post a job with your budget and let freelancers send proposals with their own price and timeline.

    3. Choose how to hire: ready package or custom job

    Order a ready package

Best for common tasks with a clear scope – a logo, a blog article, a video edit. Pick a package, add your brief and order in minutes. Browse all 50 service categories →

    Post a custom job

Best for bigger or unique projects. Describe the work, set a budget and receive proposals from verified freelancers worldwide. Posting is free. Post a job →

    4. Choose the right freelancer

When proposals arrive, compare more than price:

    • Relevant portfolio – have they done similar work before?
    • Understanding of your brief – does the cover letter talk about your project, or is it generic?
    • Clear plan – milestones, delivery time and number of revisions.
    • Verified profile – look for the blue verified tick on GIVORAA freelancer profiles.
    • Communication – use live chat to ask a quick question before hiring.

    5. Pay safely

Always pay through the platform. On GIVORAA you can pay by UPI, cards or crypto, and your order is covered by the 15-day refund policy. See payment methods for details.

If you decide to pay a freelancer directly, first check their security deposit with their Payment ID and request a block. The amount is held from the freelancer’s deposit until you confirm the work is done.

    6. Manage the project for great results

    • Share all files and access on day one.
    • Agree checkpoints (for example a first draft after 2 days).
    • Give specific feedback: “make the logo text bolder” is better than “make it pop”.
    • Approve the delivery only when it matches the brief, then leave a fair review.
